FAQ :

How are your photographs printed?

With the recent advances in ink jet printing technology using archival pigmented inks and the selection of beautiful photography art papers now available, I prefer to print on the wide format Epson printer here in our studio. I feel the overall quality and appearance of the prints (and the archival properties) exceeds the prints from images we sent out to photo labs in the past. Being able to adjust the tones and color balance, and run test strips for our digital master files, is a real plus. The process is also much more environmentally friendly than the harsh chemicals used in "the old wet process".

What type of paper and inks do you use ?

Our limited edition images are printed using premium cotton rag archival fine art papers and Ultrachrome pigmented inks. For most images we use Museo Silver Rag paper which has a semi-gloss finish. I find that this combination of paper and inks produces prints with a wide color gamut and works especially well for images with deep saturated colors. For images with more muted or subtle colors, I like to use a textured fine art paper with a matte finish. I will select the paper that I feel works best with the image (unless you specify a preference when you order).

Why do the images look really dark on my computer screen ?

It is important that your monitor is calibrated when viewing images on a computer. Here is an easy calibration check for your monitor. If the images look really dark (or really light) you may need to adjust your monitor up (or down) in brightness. (The web images that you view on this site can not begin to show all of the fine details and rich colors that are in the photographic art prints that you will receive.)

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. For online payments we prefer to use PayPal payments. (PayPal is the worlds largest online payment service, providing individuals and businesses with the ability to securely, easily and quickly send and receive payments online. We will E-mail an "online invoice" to you .. And your payment is then made thorough the secure PayPal web site. (You can learn more about PayPal by visiting their web site.) We can also take your credit card information over the telephone or by fax.

What happens if I don't like the artwork when I receive it?

We want you to be happy with our artwork. If you are not happy, return the artwork to us within 30 days (in the same condition that you received it) and we will refund your money. It is as simple as that.

How do I know what edition number of print is available in a "Limited Edition Series"?

You can see what "edition level" an image has reached by looking on the "large image view page, below the title" (you get there by "clicking" on the smaller image thumbnails on the gallery page). Or you can use our "online order form" and list the image numbers you are interested in. We will then confirm the current "print number" and price tier by E-mail.

Do I provide my credit card information to you when filling out the "online order form"?

No, we will confirm the details of your order and provide a delivery date estimate by E-mail. Then we will send an "online invoice through PayPal" to you. (You will actually be using PayPal's secure server for online credit card transactions.) Or we can obtain your credit card information by telephone or fax, if you prefer.

Are limited edition images available in larger sizes ?

Most of the images in our Limited Editions collection were created using 35mm camera equipment. I personally feel that 16x22 inches (or 12x36 inches from an x-pan image) is about the size limit from a 35mm original for the image quality that I am happy with. However, I do have a beautiful collection of large format panoramic images that we make open edition prints and wall murals from in sizes up to 40x120 inches. Please visit our web site at www.LawrenceEditions.com for more information about custom large scale open edition prints.

Are your images available printed on canvas ?

In a true limited edition style, our limited edition collection of images are only available in two sizes and printed on premium cotton rag art paper. However, our large format images found on www.WideImages.com and www.LawrenceEditions.com are available as custom open edition prints and wall murals ... And can be printed on paper or genuine artist canvas in sizes up to 40x120 inches. They are also available as room size murals printed on vinyl wall covering.

Are your limited edition prints available mounted and framed?

Yes, we have a number of framing options. We offer a nice selection of traditional frame moldings (like we use for our art show pieces). Many custom frame moldings are also available through our professional framer. Just let us know what you are looking for. For artwork that can be picked up or delivered in our studio area (Tampa Bay, Florida) we usually frame with glass or TruVue Museum Glass. For artwork that is going to be packed and shipped, we usually frame with acrylic or Plexiglas.
